My progression & robotics journey

From early automation scripts to robotics, research, and team leadership.

My progression

From automation scripts to robotics and research.

  1. Batch scripting & automation2019–2021

Started writing batch scripts to automate tasks on my PC, including installing apps and resetting the system. I also experimented with other scripts, including what I jokingly called 'viruses'. Those early scripts are no longer available.

  2. Minecraft scripting & server development2020–2024

Used AutoHotkey to make macros for Hypixel SkyBlock and other Minecraft servers, and later built a script that let offline accounts use the official Badlion Client Launcher. Co-owning a LifeSteal SMP server also introduced me to managing and troubleshooting plugins, developing Paper/Spigot plugins, and creating datapacks. Most of this work is no longer available.

  3. Mineberry tools & web development2023–2024

Started building client mods, quality-of-life features, and automation tools for the Mineberry community. Expanded into web development with a public player-statistics API, dashboard, and logging system, then connected those services to a Discord bot. These projects let me explore both Minecraft tooling and the backend services supporting it.

  4. Getting into robotics2024–2025

My friends persuaded me to join a school robotics contest, where my teammate and I won after learning the basics of sensors and robot movement. That experience led to an invitation to the school's robotics team. We competed in the Philippine Robotics Olympiad in 2025 and became finalists.

  5. IoT & flood-monitoring research2025

An invitation to the Science and Technology Fair led me to develop R.I.V.E.R., an early flood-monitoring and warning system. The project combined physical sensors, communications, machine learning, a database, and web/mobile interfaces. It introduced me to integrating hardware and software into a larger system.

  6. Future Innovators & team leadership2026

After our BREO entry was disqualified, I was reassigned to lead the Future Innovators team. We developed BantayMuseo, bringing together software, electronics, and 3D fabrication in a museum-guide robot. The team won the national Future Innovators competition and qualified to represent the Philippines at the World Robot Olympiad.

  7. Computer vision & independent research2026

Independently developed AERESCUE to explore dual-camera object tracking, spatial estimation, and autonomous robot guidance for simulated water-rescue support. I built the monitoring software, integrated a LEGO SPIKE Prime robot, and conducted controlled experimental trials. The project earned District and Congressional Champion and Division 3rd Place before being archived after the division competition.

Robotics Journey

School contests, national competitions, and the teams I have worked with.

  1. School-based Robotics Contest10/2024

My friends persuaded me to represent our grade level in the school-based robotics contest. I learned the basics of robotics, including sensors and robot movement. My teammate and I won the contest.

  2. Interested Teacher04/2025

The teacher in charge of Robotics-Related Activities told me he had "plans" for me after learning that I was a tech enthusiast.

  3. Invitation to the Robotics Team05/2025

The senior team of the school's robotics team invited me to join the robotics team.

  4. Philippine Robotics Olympiad07/2025

We participated in the Philippine Robotics Olympiad (Robomission – Junior Category) and became finalists.

  5. Science and Technology Fair09/2025

I was invited to participate in the Science and Technology Fair, where I developed PROJECT R.I.V.E.R., an early flash-flood warning system. This introduced me to IoT, hardware integration, and system development.

  6. The Earth Prize12/2025

I was invited to participate in The Earth Prize because of my technical skills.

  7. Future Innovators Team Formation03/2026

I proposed starting a Future Innovators team for the upcoming BREO and was tasked with finding members. I selected three candidates for the team.

  8. BREO Preparation04/2026

I assisted the school's three robotics teams during preparation. Our senior team used my DriveBase program, and I helped the Future Innovators team prepare for the competition.

  9. Bohol Robotics Expo and Olympiad05/2026

Our Robomission team was disqualified due to mechanical issues. The senior team placed 2nd, while the Future Innovators team became champions. After their programmer transferred to another country, I was assigned as the team's primary programmer.

  10. Philippine Robotics Olympiad06/2026

The Future Innovators team won the Philippine Robotics Olympiad and will represent the Philippines at the upcoming World Robot Olympiad this December. I served as the team's primary programmer but was not a registered participant.

  11. Elected as Robotics Club President07/2026

    Elected as Robotics Club President.

  12. AERESCUE / Science and Mathematics Fair10/2026

Independently developed and tested AERESCUE, earning District and Congressional Champion and Division 3rd Place. Development concluded after the division competition, and the research prototype is now archived.
